Bongeziwe Mabandla heads to Europe on multi-date tour

Fresh off a trio of South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations, Bongeziwe Mabandla has revealed that he is headed to Europe for a multi-date tour.

Getting underway in France on June 3rd, Mabandla’s European tour will see him perform in France and the Netherlands with one show in Switzerland. More dates are expected to be added to the close to two-month trek, with bookings available here.

In spite of pandemic constraints, Mabandla has been one of the few South African artists to have undertaken two South African and now two European tours in 2021 and 2021 – all strictly adhering to COVID-19 protocols and all shows sold-out.

As this accomplishment attests to, Mabandla is a performer of wide-ranging and deeply-felt appeal.

Last year the Eastern Cape-born artist toured his acclaimed album, iimini, which is in the running for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2021 SAMAs. Mabandla’s other SAMA nominations are in the Remix of the Year category –  Bongeziwe Mabandla x Dwson for “ndanele” and Bongeziwe Mabandla x Claudio & Kenza Remix for “salanabani”.

Fans of this incredible artist can also look forward to a remix of “zange” by A Million Things, the solo incarnation of composer, instrumentalist and producer Tiago Correia-Paulo. Due for release on June 11th, the remix is perfect for long roadtrips, slow-dancing or being held in a lover’s intimate embrace.
