Africa Rising Music Conference launches with 2-day Joburg event

African Rising Music Conference (ARMC)  launches this May and Black Major is a proud supporter of this new, women-led initiative.

Taking place at Hallmark House Hotel on the 24th and 25th of May 2022, ARMC aims to empower and enable South African-based executives to successfully move into the international space as well as providing valuable insights and connections for international stakeholders looking to work and understand the African market or for those currently working in the territory from a distance. 

With the focused territory being the Netherlands, ARMC’s International showcasing partner is The Dutch Music Export, which will be supporting 15 Dutch music professionals to participate in a trade delegation at the conference as well as bring over 3 Dutch artists to perform at the live showcase event.  

With Women in Music (South Africa) one of the partners of ARMC 22, a number of women as ambassadors have been appointed for this year’s event including:

ARMC also features two showcase live events – ARMC by Night 24 May 2022 and ARMC by Night 25th May 2022. 

Two artists travelling from The Netherlands have been selected to showcase at this year’s MTN’s Bushfire Festival and one at The Baseline Fest. These events form part of the IGODA Circuit, a Southern African festival touring circuit that facilitates the movement of artists and supports collaboration, creative expression, and the celebration of music and culture.
